Jason's 'Celebration of Life'
As you know we have lost our Senior Vice Commander. He was a Warrior and best Friend. He is at Peace with God. We will miss him. To young to leave us at 37 years old, but life is short and too short for some. The 'Celebration of Life' will be Sunday the 20th at 12:00 Noon. Potluck to follow. I appreciate your comments. We have a interested buyer for the Post. Am Vets Post 49 want to move forward with a offer. We will then move to a new location once the debts are taken care of. I wanted to let you know that I grew up in Evart, Michigan and came up to Alaska in 1980 to work for ARCO. Love it up here with all that Alaska has to offer. Again, thanks for you concern.

Sale of the VFW
Effective today the Post is going up for Sale. The Intent is to settle the IRS Tax Obligation and to try to find an Investor that will do a long term Lease back to us. Because of the continued Financial Problems that is facing the Banking Industry we were turned down on the Refinance Effort. Being a Non-Profit there are more stringent 'Parameters' on Loans given to Non-Profit Organizations. With the Equity that we have in the building, my Plan is to revise the Operational Procedures and Expense'… Continue

I have made you and Char administrators on this community network.
You will notice that you a new button on your menu called manage.
You now can broadcast an email to all the members of this network at once. It goes to their regular emails.
You can also ban a members should the need arise.
